Barnsdall Arts Sunday: Celebrate the Guatemalan Rain Forest

Posted on Apr 20, 2017 in Barnsdall Arts Sundays, blog | No Comments

This Sunday at Barnsdall Art Park, celebrate Earth Day and prepare for the Climate March Los Angeles by creating your own 3D sign celebrating the jewels of the Guatemalan rain forest. Create an elaborate jungle scene using recycled materials and collage replete with your favorite colorful rain forest denizens from Red Macaws and Resplendent Quetzals to violet-throated hummingbirds and friendly Toucans. Blue Morphos flit through the canopy and brilliant poison dart frogs frolic in streams. Eyelash snakes slither up branches and monkeys howl from the treetops. You too can make a beautiful noise to help save the planet and all the creatures in it.
